Linda Garvey Obituary
Garvey, Linda A.

Linda A. Garvey, 88, of the Town of Oneida, Wisconsin, passed away with her family by her side on November 1, 2012. She was born on January 24, 1924 to Emil and Ella (Van Den Berg) Huss in the Town of Freedom, where she spent her youth and was a cheerleader during her days at Freedom High School. Linda married James E. Garvey at St. Nicholas Parish Church in Freedom on July 7, 1945. She and Jim farmed in Oneida where during the 50's and 60's they developed one of the State's and County's top producing dairy herds. She was a caring mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and devoted home maker. She was a long time member of Immaculate Conception Parish, Oneida and the Freedom VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Linda was also an above average, avid Packer fan. She was thrilled recently to receive a hand written letter acknowledging that fact from Green Bay Packers President, Mark Murphy.

Linda is survived by her four sons: Daniel J. Garvey, Terry (Honey) Garvey and their children and grandchildren: Jamie and Jenn Garvey (Alex and Zachary), Jesse Garvey and Eric Peterson, Tonya and Jason Garvey (Kobe, Jadyn, Emma, and Jacob), Rick (Kris) Garvey and their children: Dallas and special friend Lisa Everson, and Ashley, Jim (Kate) Garvey and their daughter Ashley and Kelly Goldsboro (Hannah and Keegan); two daughters: Nancy (Larry) Riesenweber and their children and grandchildren: Shannon and Keeter Lornson (Hannah and Garrett), Shelly and Brad Weyenberg (Haylie and Aiden) , Corrie Parker (Dakota and Josey), and Debbie Garvey. She is further survived by her brother Emil (AnnaMae) Huss, sister-in-law Rosemary Garvey, special friend Gladie School and by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband James E. Garvey, who died at Lambeau Field on September 19, 1971; her parents Emil and Ella Huss; brother Clifford (Valerie) Huss; three half-sisters: Evelyn (Walter) Radloff, Marie (Art) Coffey, and Georgette (Lawrence) Radloff; her parents-in-law Patrick and Margaret (Murphy) Garvey; sister-in-law Irene (Orville) Appleton; brothers-in-law Mike (Florence) Garvey, Willard Jeremiah "Bill" Garvey, and Robert "Buzz" (Grace) Garvey.
