Norman "Fuzzy" Labitzky, age 82, of Brillion, died on Friday March 22, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton. He was born June 18, 1930 in the Town of Maple Grove, son of the late Martin and Anna (Herzog) Labitzky. On October 2, 1954 he married Dorothy Schroeder at St. Luke Lutheran Church in the Town of Chilton. Fuzzy farmed in the Town of Maple Grove until his retirement in 1989. He served on the Board of Directors for the Reedsville Co-Op and Reedsville Equity for many years. He loved to hunt, fish and play cards. He was a member of St. John St. James Lutheran Church in Reedsville and the Brillion Conservation Club. Survivors include his wife Dorothy, his children, Jolene (Joe) Gerhartz of Brillion, Larry (Dorie) Labitzky of Brillion, Allen (Becky) Labitzky of Crystal MN, Janet (Brian) Hopfensperger of Darboy, 13 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, a sister Mabel Meier of Manitowoc, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Francis (Betty) Klingeisen of Sheboygan Falls, Vernon (Arlene) Schroeder of Potter, Wilmer Schroeder of Chilton, Alois (Elaine) Schroeder of Menasha, and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter Janice, grandson Adam Hopfensperger, 2 sisters and brothers-in-law, Elaine Klingeisen, Verona (Jack) Meier and Edward Meier, 2 sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law, Delores (Harold) Hartz and Arlane Schroeder. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday March 27 at St. John St. James Lutheran Church in Reedsville. The Rev. Timothy Nommensen will officiate. Burial will be in the Brillion Community Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. and then again on Wednesday from 9- 10:30 a.m. with the funeral to follow at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Norman's name.
