Marion D. Baldauf

Marion Baldauf, 87, Neenah, was called home by her Lord and Savior on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2013, at her home with her family by her side. Marion was born September 17, 1925, in Neenah, daughter of George and Gertrude (Sauer) Chaganos. She married Neal Baldauf June 5, 1945, and he preceded her in death in 1986. Marion was employed at JR Kimberly Estate for 10 years as Mrs. Kimberly's personal maid, and Neal worked as Mr. Kimberly's personal chauffer. The family lived on the estate at Eskdale farm. Later Marion was employed by American Can/James River NTC for many years until her retirement in 1987. Marion was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, and was a den mother for cub scouts for many years. She loved reading, crocheting, knitting, and square dancing, and especially enjoyed going to the family cabin in Mountain with her family. Her family was the love of her life.
Marion is survived by her son, Tom (Sue) Baldauf, daughter, Barb (Jeff) Slomski, and daughter-in-law, Diane Baldauf; grandchildren: Bryan (Bethyn) Baldauf, Jim Baldauf (girlfriend Barbara Hayes), Chad (Lonnie) Baldauf, Stephanie (Bill) Arnett, and Amy (Chris) Boucher; great grandchildren: Bryan Baldauf II, Cody, Hannah, Debi, Kiersten, and Aiden Baldauf, Taylor, Mikayla, and Will Arnett, and Cali and Kyle Boucher; sisters-in-law: Thecla and Audrey Chaganos; nephews: Leonard (Patty) Hoehne, David (Kathy), Rodney (Jane), and Mike Chaganos; special nieces: Pat (Carl) Rossal and Nancy (Dwayne) Voight.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Bill (Debi) Baldauf in 2008 & 1995, prospectively; a great grandson, Chase Baldauf (2005); brothers: Emanuel and John Chaganos; and a sister, Helen (Fred) Hoehne.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 4, 2013 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 200 N. Commercial Street, Neenah, with Rev. Paul Holte officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Neenah. Visitation will be at the church from 9:00 a.m. Thursday until the time of the service. A memorial has been established in Marion's name.
Marion's family would like to thank Dr. Curtis Baltz and staff, Rev. Paul and Robin Holte, our church family, and ThedaCare Hospice for their love and support. A special thanks to Marion's niece Pat Rossal for all her loving care throughout the years, and to Jack, Bernita, Jan and Mark for sharing their Friday Nights around Marion's kitchen table.
