Woeshnick, Lawrence E. "Larry"

Age 61 of New London, died at his residence on Saturday, August 24, 2013, following a short illness.

Larry was born on June 28, 1952, in New London, Wisconsin, the son of Ernest and Marian (Rhoden) Woeshnick. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1970 until 1974. On April 24, 1982, Larry married Nancy Seversen in Waupaca, Wisconsin. Larry was employed for 27 years at Kimberly Clark and then accepted a position as an over-the-road truck driver working for N&M Transfer.

Larry was an avid sports enthusiast. He enjoyed playing basketball and softball, motorcycling, skiing, biking, and spending time with his wife camping at various places throughout Wisconsin, never missing a good spot on a lake.

Larry is survived by his wife, Nancy; brothers, Jim (Debbie) Woeshnick, Gary (fiancé Karen) Woeshnick, Paul (special friend, Vijay) Woeshnick, and Mark (special friend, Linda) Woeshnick; sisters, Judith (Thomas) Short and Jeanne (Jim) Hintzke; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Thomas G. and Helga L. Seversen; and sisters-in-law, Ellen (Bryen) Handschke and Ingrid (Tom) Hemesath. Larry is further survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Marian and Ernest Woeshnick.

The funeral service for Larry will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 30, 2013, at Emanuel Lutheran Church, New London, with Rev. Marcus Schulz officiating. Family and friends may call at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home, New London, Thursday evening from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again at church Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Military honors will be conducted.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Emanuel Lutheran Church or Hatten Park Stadium Renovation Fund.
