Doris M. Jamison

Doris M. Jamison, age 90 of Hortonville, died at St. Joseph Residence in New London, on Sunday, July 13, 2014 following a brief illness.

Doris was born in the Township of Hortonia on May 13, 1924, the daughter of Otto and Anna (Meyer) Heling. On May 23, 1951, Doris married Francis Jamison. She was a resident of Hortonville most of her life having worked at the local grocery store, Wire Works, and the canning factory. Doris was a volunteer at the Dale Food Pantry and a life long member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Hortonville, where she was active in the Ladies Aid. Doris enjoyed baking, sewing, gardening and reading.

She is survived by sisters-in-law, Mary Tessen, Ruth Baster, Rita Petit, and Anna Surprise; as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Doris is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Clarence Heling; sisters, Ruth Kanaman, Minnie Kloehn, Norma Luther, and Hilda O'Brien; and sisters-in-law, Eve Hedtke and Margaret Surprise.

A funeral service for Doris will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 17, 2014, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Hortonville, with Rev. Paul Zietlow officiating. Family and friends may call directly at church Thursday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Hortonville.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
