NACCARATI
B. RAYMOND
Age 77, of Plum, formerly of Wilkins Twp., went Home to the Lord on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. Son of the late Blase and Caroline (Chianese) Naccarati; beloved husband of 45 years of Lillian (Sage) Naccarati; loving father of Michelle (David) Naccarati-Chapkis, Angela (Chris) Hunter, Vincent Naccarati and Elise Naccarati; loving grandfather of Sofia, Dominic, Caroline, Julia, Maria and Aidan; brother of Carl (Marion) Naccarati of Penn Hills, Letitia (Frank) Valletta of West Deer and the late Richard, Donald and Robert (infant) Naccarati; brother-in-law of James (Betty) Sage, Rose Marie (James) McShane and the late William (Ann) Sage; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and dear loving friends including Michael and Verna Madden. Ray earned his Masters Degree from the University of Pittsburgh. He was a police officer for 25 years and retired as Chief of Police of Wilkins Twp. He was founder and director of Suburban Academy of Law Enforcement and an instructor at Community College of Allegheny County, Boyce Campus and Allegheny Campus. He taught at Point Park University, Duquesne University and the University of Pittsburgh. Ray was a member of Plum Creek/Monroeville Masonic Lodge #799, the Western Pennsylvania Chiefs of Police Association, Allegheny County Chiefs of Police, and the Western Pennsylvania Chiefs of Police and served on numerous advisory committees and community boards. Ray's Catholic values were witnessed through his dedication and service to others and the community. He educated and inspired hundreds, if not thousands, of students. Ray was devoted to his family and feline friends, "Scooter" and "Bo." "Pappy" loved his time with family, vacationing at Myrtle Beach, spending time in the outdoors, especially in his garden, fishing on local streams and lakes, listening to and attending operas and preparing Italian feasts. He was our extraordinary hero. We would like to acknowledge the care and support he received from the staff at Forbes Regional Hospital. Friends will be received Saturday, 7-9 p.m. and Sunday, 1-4 and 6-9 p.m. at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC., corner of 118 Shaw and Triboro Avenues, Turtle Creek, (412-823-1950). Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bernadette Church Monday, Noon. Interment to follow at Good Shepherd Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.

I am sorry for the loss of your father. He was one of my instructors as CCAC when I was working as an active police officer. We shared that bond and connected immediately. He was a great man with a big heart. He will be missed for sure by the Police community for he was a mentor to a lot of us. God bless you all during this difficult time.

Ray was one of my first criminology students at CCAC Boyce campus. As a student he made me a better teacher. A good friend and colleague. I will miss him.
