On Thursday, June 29, 2017. Beloved mother of Joseph "Joey" Harrison Goldberg; loving daughter of Gail and Charles Weisberg; beloved granddaughter of the late Norma and William Lewis and Lillian and Harry Weisberg; treasured sister of David Weisberg (Rikki Hommel) and Michael Weisberg (Elizabeth Goldberg); aunt of Marti, Oscar, William and Henry Weisberg. Also survived by grieving family and friends. Services at RALPH SCHUGAR CHAPEL, INC., 5509 Centre Avenue, Shadyside on Sunday at 11 a.m. NO PRIOR VISITATION. Interment Beth Shalom Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. www.schugar.com.

I just came across this now. I am so sorry to read about Laurie. She was too young. I remember her well. She and her two brothers were the sweetest kids. My heart is aching for you all. Please except my sincere and late sympathy. May God Bless you.

I am saddened to hear of Lauri's passing! I knew Lauri from our time together as undergrads at Emory. She always exhibited grace, beauty, integrity, kindness, and compassion! In my scrapbook, I have pictures of Lauri at my parents' house for my birthday, at graduation, and at one of the Emory dances. She taught me a great deal, and I especially appreciate her sharing about Yom Kippur. As a local pastor, I have shared the past two years about Lauri introducing me to the tenets of this holy day and her influence on me. I learned of Lauri's passing when I attended the Shady Side Academy Alumni Memorial Service last month. She and I were classmates there and I have made a donation to the school in her name. Heartfelt condolences to all who loved her and may she rest in peace.
