CUNNIFF NEVA (FENNER)
Age 89, of Ross Township, on Friday, December 28, 2012. Born near the zinc mines of Franklin, New Jersey, Neva graduated as a nurse from the Jersey City Medical Center in 1946, and volunteered and later worked for Easter Seals of Western Pennsylvania. She fearlessly provided safe transportation for victims of domestic violence, served as the president of the Women's Republican Club of Pittsburgh, and gave time to Meals on Wheels. A connoisseur of literature and fine art, Neva toured Europe's finest Museums, helped establish the Northland Public Library, and avidly sought out exotic species of birds the world over as a member of the National Audubon Society. The cherished wife of the late Frank T. Cunniff, she will be missed greatly by her three children, four grandchildren and lovers of gourmet food, birds and justice everywhere. Per Neva's wishes, no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity in Neva's memory. Arrangements by H.P. BRANDT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 412-364-4444.

Sorry for your loss. She was a sweet lady, and always cheerfully gave up your phone number. Think often and kindly of her.

Neva was a brilliant, compassionate and loving lady, special in so many ways. Many thanks to you ... Frank, Susan and Sharon, for sharing your mom with us here at Arden Courts. Her knowledge was extraordinary, she taught us new things everyday. It was a pleasure to know her, and she will be greatly missed.

Neva's grandsons, Frank and Casey, did a wonderful job on the obituary. She'd have been so proud. Neva was both a wonderful woman and a great mom. She will be missed.
