MELODINI, SHIRLEY K. - Dillsburg  
MELODINI SHIRLEY K. Age 82, of Dillsburg and formerly of Brentwood and Hazelwood, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at her home. She was born August 2, 1933, in Hazelwood, the daughter of the late John and Mary (Edwards) Kalfas. Shirley was the widow of Edward R. Melodini. She was a member of the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Mechanicsburg and was active in the Divine Mercy, Gospel Reflection Group and was known as their prayer warrior. Shirley was a devoted mother and grandmother and she loved her family very much. Shirley is survived by two sons, Edward R. Melodini (Kathy) of Pittsburgh, Marc V. Melodini of Largo, FL; three daughters, Patricia M. Melodini of Westminster, MD, Regina M. Stelma (John) of Middletown, MD, Elena L. Charles (Craig) of Dillsburg; ten grandchildren, Edward, Michael, Anthony Melodini, Nicholas Huffman, Michael, Elena Knecht, Sara Stelma, Jessica Wise (Brendan), Matthew Stelma, Justin Charles; and eight great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, July 2, 2016, at 10:30 a.m. in her church, 310 Hertzler Rd., Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, with the Rev. William King serving as celebrant. A viewing will be held Friday from 6-8 p.m. in the COCKLIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 30 N. Chestnut St., Dillsburg, PA. Burial will be held in the Calvary Cemetery, Pittsburgh at the convenience of the family. MAJEWSKI MICHAEL JAMES Age 43, of Hampton Township, passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2016. Michael had his own remodeling business for the last nine years. He was the president of the newly incorporated Majewski Remodeling, Inc. He used his ability to fix anything to help his family and friends. He enjoyed working on MOPAR cars and liked to camp and fish at our family camp, Camp Cyclops. Michael loved most to watch his son play baseball and practice pitching and his daughter cheering at Jr. football games. He is survived by his beloved wife of 15 years, Jennifer (Fortwangler) Majewski; son, Jesse James Majewski; daughter, Michala Kathleen Majewski; sister-in- law, Joanne "Sis" (Keith) Hart; brother-in-law, Mark (Karen) Fortwangler; and father-in-law, Mark Fortwangler; nephews, Caleb Fortwangler and Jack Fortwangler; and niece, Caroline Hart. He was preceded in death by mother- in-law, Janet Fortwangler. Michael's family will welcome friends from 2 -4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2016, at KING FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 2841 Woodland Circle in Allison Park. MANION J. EDWARD Age 88, of Scott Twp., son of the late Christina McCaig and Joseph Edward Manion of Carnegie, passed peacefully on Friday, June 24, 2016. Beloved husband of Betty Ann (Boyda) Manion; loving father of Celeste Manion and Renee Barrentine; grandfather of Hunter Manion, Hannah and Ethan Barrentine. Survived also by sister, Christina Canales of Philadelphia; brother, David Manion of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by brother, James Manion of Pittsburgh. Ed was a CLU Division Benefit Sales Manager for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company for 29 years. He graduated from Duquesne University with a degree in Business Administration, and proudly served in the U.S. Navy. Ed had many hobbies. He was an amateur radio operator, hunter, and backyard mechanic. He enjoyed boating, target shooting, fishing and building model airplanes. Ed was a member of the American Legion, the NRA, Collier Sportsmen's Club and the Heritage Foundation. There will be no public visitation. McCABE MARY K. Age 91, of Zelienople, passed away on Monday, June 27, 2016, while under the care of Good Samaritan Hospice in Wexford. Born April 14, 1925, in Wellston, OK, she was the daughter of the late George and Vernie (Erwin) Kuhr. Mary taught English in the Seneca Valley School District for 27 years. She enjoyed gardening and reading, but, above all, spending time with her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Allyssa McCabe-Cuneo and husband, Charles, Hugh McCabe and Kevin McCabe and wife, Linda; and four grandchildren, Jessamyn Cuneo, Nicholas Cuneo, Kegan McCabe and Kyle McCabe. There will be no visitation or services as per Mary's wishes. She will be laid to rest in the English Lutheran Church Cemetery. (James) Yates and the late Celeste A. Mielnicki; proud grandpap of Jay T. Yates; brother of Cecelia Murtaugh and the late Irene Jozwiak, Genevieve Hartz and Arthur and Daniel Mielnicki. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Ed was a U.S. Navy veteran. He retired from J&L Steel (Southside) and was a longtime usher for the Pirates and Steelers.
