REABE ELIZABETH (GLASSER) LINN "BETTY" Age 86, of Monroeville, passed on Thursday, April 30, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Don Reabe, who was the love of her life. Betty traveled around the world and enjoyed her many years that she and Donnie were snowbirds in Florida. Betty began her career in politics and retired after 25 years from the Allegheny County Criminal Courts. She was a classic lady and was old "Hollywood Charisma" to the bitter end! She will be missed by those who knew and loved her. The family would like to thank everyone at Horizon Hospice, the staff at Harbour Senior Living, her caregivers, Boats, Dee and Lauren, and also Kim, her adopted daughter, who will miss her dearly. She is also survived by a niece and nephews. Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, 2015, at the GENE H. CORL INC. ROBINSON AMY Age 96, of Providence Point, Scott Twp., formerly of Dormont, peacefully on Thursday, April 30, 2015. Daughter of the late H.E. and Jennie Davis Robinson; sister of the late Bess Ludwick, Martha Ritter and Henry E. Robinson, Jr.; beloved aunt of Martha Ludwick Litle, William W. Robinson (Carolyn McKeon), Robert W. Ritter (Monica), the late H.E. Robinson III and the late Gordon R. Ritter; great-aunt of Karen Litle, Robert Litle (Julie), Linda Litle Godfrey (Patrick), Ellen Litle (Steven Hussey), Jake Ritter (Katy), Sarah Ritter (Mike Brown), Steven Robinson and Laura Dalzell; dear friend of Charles and Jill Brodbeck and family. Amy was a longtime kindergarten teacher at the former Hillsdale School in Dormont and an active member of the Dormont Historical Society. She was a member of Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church for 68 years, where she and her late sister, Martha Ritter, hand made ceramic nativity sets for generations of Children's Sunday School Classes. At her request, there will be no viewing hours and interment in the family plot in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery will be private. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service in her beloved Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church, on Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church, 3319 W. ROGERS, JEAN (HARTMAN)  
ROGERS JEAN (HARTMAN) Age 91, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2015, after a lengthy illness. With the help of Gateway Hospice, Jean's wish to die at home was honored. Her daughter, son-in-law and special friend, Kim Heller, were with her when she passed. She was born on July 30, 1923, in Warren, Ohio to the late Elizabeth Hartman McClellan and Fritz Hartman. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Milburn L. Rogers; her sister, Betty Heisler Midgett; and many aunts, uncles and in-laws. Jean is survived by her daughter, Luella Rogers Burke (Arnold) of Scottville, MI; grandsons, Michael Burke (Deborah) of Watertown, MA, Dennis Burke (Gwen) of Brentwood, TN; and great-grandsons, Jack and Brenden Burke of Brentwood, TN; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and cousins survive. She was particularly close to nephew, William Rogers (Jean) of FL; niece, Cherrie Heisler Muller of FL; and cousin, Suzanne McAlister. Jean grew up on Neville Island, graduating from Neville High in 1941. Her adult life was spent on the Island, in Arkansas and Sewickley. She lived in Sewickley at the time of her death. While living in Arkansas in the seventies Jean served as Mayor of Patmos, Arkansas. She was proud of the fact that as a result of a grant she wrote during her tenure the town gained its first fire truck and typewriter! Genealogy was her passion. She was a member of the JACOB FERREE CHAPTER, DAR, where she served in many capacities including Regent. Jean was also a member of the General Society of Mayflower Descendants, The Daughters of Cincinnati and the Daughter of Eighteen Hundred and Twelve. Before the age of computers Jean helped many research their families. As Jean wished she has been cremated. A Memorial Service will be held later in the summer. Arrangements by COPELAND'S. ROMANO Dr. ROBERT L. Of Fox Chapel, passed away peacefully at home with his wife at his side on Friday, May 1, 2015. Beloved husband of Mary Jo (Dimasi) Romano and the late Doris (Evans) Romano; father of Richard (Beth) Romano, Roy Christopher (Jennifer) Romano and the late Robert L. Romano, Jr.; grandfather of Emily, Matthew and Alison; also survived by his Persian cat, "Marco". Bob was born in Syracuse, New York, and received his undergraduate degree from Cornell (a place he held dear), MS from University of Missouri, and Ph.D. from Washington University in St. Louis. Bob came to Pittsburgh and was Assistant Chief of Psychology at the Highland Road VA Hospital, he left to start his own private practice with his partner, Dr. Richard Miller, becoming the first psychologists to do so in Pittsburgh. Bob was still working part-time as a psychologist until a few months before his death. Besides his love of analysis and concern for his patients, Bob also presented psychological papers for the American Institute of Medical Education in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Stratford, England, and Florence, Italy. Beyond the world of his work, Bob was a published author of fiction and nonfiction books. He recently self-published a chap book of collected anecdotes and leaves behind a number of unfinished works. Bob was an excellent cook, painter, sculptor and photographer. He performed in the local theater for ten years with major roles in Life in the Theater and Mass Appeal. Bob loved to host big parties (especially annual Halloween parties and, of late, band parties featuring local musical artists). Bob was a true Renaissance man, known for his keen intellect, analytical insight, artistic abilities and wicked sense of humor. He lived in a way that celebrated his love of life, people, art and his country. No Visitation. A Christian Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, May 9, 2015, at 10 a.m. at St. Scholastica Church, 309 Brilliant Ave., Aspinwall. ROONEY KENNETH R. Age 92, of Hampton, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2015. Beloved husband of Loretta (Weidner) Rooney; brother-in-law of Richard (Jean) Weidner; uncle of Chris (Dave) McFarlane and Michael (Joanna) Weidner. He was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, a 50 year member of the Free and Accepted Masons, a veteran of World War II, having proudly served in the United States Navy. He served aboard the USS Calcydny, in the Pacific aboard the USS Shangri-La CV-38 on Admiral John S. McCain's Staff Task Force 58 until war's end. He was a member of the Shangri-La Reunion Association, the Navy Club of Pittsburgh Ship No. 720. He was a certified Purchasing Manager and a lifetime member of the National Association of Purchasing Management, ISM. His career path included Rockwell, Westinghouse, Fisher Scientific and Martin-Marietta. He is survived and will be deeply missed by his longtime companion and partner, Joni Schmidt; mother, Elizabeth Radage; son, Stephen A. Radage; brother, Michael D. (Susan K.) Radage; nephew, Michael C. (Susan) Radage; niece, Kristen (Michael) Bell; and Joni's son, Brendan (Taffany) Barnett. He was preceded in death by his father, Stephen Radage; and sister, Vivian Radage. RICO LOUIS ANTHONY Age 80, of Penn Hills, died Monday, April 27, 2015. He was born June 23, 1934, in Pittsburgh. Prior to retirement, he was an employee of United States Steel. Louis was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church. Having served in the U.S. Army with the 6th Infantry Division, Louis was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 6681. A loving father and grandfather, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia (Mulvihill) Rico; brothers, Genre Pecora and Vincent James Pecora; and sisters, Constance (Pecora) Suarez, Theresa (Pecora) Marvenko, and LaVerne (Rico) Fabiano. He is survived by sons, Anthony (Francine) Rico, and Vincent Rico; grandchildren, Louis, Allison, Anna, and James Rico; sisters, Mary (Rico) Jankovic and Ann (Pecora) Kachuta; brother, John Rico; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Monday, May 4, 2015, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of funeral prayers at 11:00 a.m. in WILLIAM F.
