ADAMS Sr., GEORGE O. - Delmont  
ADAMS GEORGE O., Sr. Age 88, former resident of Swissvale and Harrison City, passed away Thursday, January 22, 2015, in Gaithersburg, MD, his loving family at his side. George was a member of the Community Methodist Church in Irwin, PA. He enjoyed his family and traveling with his wife of 68 years, Norma Whetton Adams. George worked as a tool and die maker at Whitaker Metals and instilled the values of integrity, professionalism, and hard work in his four sons, George O. Adams, Jr. (Debra Okorn) of Amherst, OH, John "Jack" W. Adams (Janet Lukas) of Murrysville, PA, Thomas J. Adams (Linda Carter) of McCordsville, IN, and Donald E. Adams (Daria Novekosky) of Reston, VA. An avid craftsman, he loved working with wood and making toys for his grandchildren, George III, Shawn, Christopher, Kimberly, Heather, Thomas, Jr., Tasha and Kyla. George's pride and joy was his family. He was blessed to know his great-grandchildren, George IV, Rebecca, Shawn "Kai", Logan, and Keira. George was born April 5, 1926, in Braddock, PA, son of the late William and Agnes (Jamieson) Adams. In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by a grandson, Brian E. Adams; and a sister, Marion Adams. George is survived by his sisters, Kathryn Adams of Jarrettsville, MD and Marjorie Bigham (Elmer) of Selah, WA; as well as his wife, children, grandchildren, great- grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Friends will be received Tuesday 2-8 p.m. at BASH-NIED FUNERAL HOME, 152 Abbe Place, Delmont, 724-468-8381. Masonic Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. by Infinity Lodge #546 F&AM. Services will be held Wednesday 11 a.m., at Community United Methodist Church, 3487 Route 130, Irwin, PA, with Pastor John Ciampa presiding. AGOSTONI DR. DAVID B., DMD On January 23, 2015, Dr. David B. Agostoni DMD, age 69, of Ohio Twp. Beloved husband of Karen Agostoni ("the Redhead") for 43 years; devoted father of Lisa M. Agostoni and Jason D. (Dr. Jacqueline Weaver) Agostoni; loving grandfather of Skyler Agostoni; caring brother-in-law and friend of Edward (Colleen) Kalchthaler; fun-loving uncle of Nicole, Edward and Rhiannon Kalchthaler; preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Teresa Agostoni. Dr. Agostoni graduated from the University of Pittsburgh Dental School in 1971 and practiced dentistry for 43 years. He was passionate about his profession and his patients. He owned and operated dental practices in North Hills, Evans City and Portersville. Friends received Monday, January 26, 2015, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at SIMONS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 7720 Perry Highway, where a farewell service will take place on Tuesday, 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Western Pennsylvania. A daughter of the late Michael and Virginia Russo; wife of the late Joseph Alfieri; beloved mom of Martin, Jim and Vincent (Denise) Alfieri; grandma of Tracy (Chad) Staller, Tony (Jennifer) Alfieri, Melanie (Joe) Lauterbach, Matt Alfieri, and Jennifer Alfieri; great-grandma of Jake, Ava, Gabby, Lily, Rona, Joey, and Lindy; sister of Louise (late Phillip) Calabrese, Anthony (Patty) Russo and Michael (Sylvia) Russo, and the late Joseph (late Blanche) Russo and late Lena (late Frank) DeCarlo; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. BRASHEAR PATRICIA A. (LYNCH) Patricia A. Brashear (Lynch) joined the angels on January 19, 2015, in Escondido, California. Pat was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1930 but she called San Diego her home for over 55 years. She joined the U.S. Air Force after nursing school, but her life's career was as a devoted wife of 58 years to James E. Brashear, Jr. and mother to their eight children. Pat was a sports fan, avid bowler and dedicated member of her church choir. She is survived by her children; 19 grandchildren; five great- grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. Patricia's life will be celebrated in a Funeral Mass on January 30, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, 1945 Illion St., San Diego, California. The family is grateful for the care shown to Pat by the professionals at Atria North Escondido and Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association, the Cure Alzheimer's Fund or an organization of your choice that supports dementia care and research. BUCHANAN ROLAND SANFORD Age 90, peacefully on January 24, 2015. He was born December 18, 1924, and built his life in Northern Virginia. Dearest husband of 63 and a half years to Margaret Louise Yacura Buchanan; son of the late Rufus Wallace and Luby Mae N. Buchanan; brother of Rachel, Wallace Ray, Luby Mae, and the late Bobbie, and Hilda Mae. He is survived by his wife, children, Sandra (Larry) Dickson, and Glen (Justine) Buchanan; doting grandpa of Troy and Jeanna Dickson, and Christopher and Justine Marie Buchanan; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Roland "Buck" Buchanan was a self employed CPA and served our country in WWII. He loved to play poker, was an avid sports fan, and loved horseracing. He also enjoyed working in his yard. Funeral services will be held TUESDAY at 10:00 a.m. in the Holy Angels Chapel at Resurrection Cemetery, officiated by, Rev. Karl McDonald.
