James Ulfig Obituary
74, of Penn Hills, Died November 29th, 2008 passed away while in the comfort of his home with his family and life-long friend and caretaker Glenna Hill.
James was a member of the 317th Field Maintenance Repair unit during the Korean conflict in Germany for the United States Air Force. In addition during the years 1970-74 James spent three tours in the Vietnam War. He was an admired and decorated military man in Rock Island, Illinois. James D. Ulfig was a resident of Moline, Illinois before relocating to the city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to be closer to his daughters and grandchildren. James D. Ulfig is survived by his older brother Charles Ulfig, two daughters Sue Lynn Littrell and Kitti Lee McNamara, three grandchildren, Michael Gray, Erica and Nicole Mignogna, and two great-grand children Christopher and Kaitlynn Gray. No public service will be held; he will be honored with a private military memorial, where he will be laid to rest in Rock Island, Illinois. Donations can be made to A.N.N.A.
