Age 77, of Espyville, PA, formerly of Beechview, on Thursday, July 31, 2014. Beloved husband for 36 years of Ruth Powell; brother of Joseph (Carol) Krotec, Richard (Linda) Krotec, Frances (Joseph) Miller, the late Margaret (Nicholas) Simcic, and Helen Krotec; devoted stepfather of Rocklin, Jeffrey and Timmy Powell; also survived many nieces and nephews. Al was a proud Army veteran having served in Vietnam. He was an equipment operator at Woodville State Hospital, and a member of both the V.F.W. and American Legion. His passions included fishing and hunting. Friends will be welcomed at LAUGHLIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 222 Washington Road, Mount Lebanon, Monday 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. Every will meet for a Mass of Christian Burial in Saint Catherine of Siena Church, Broadway Avenue, Beechview, Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock. Interment will be private. If desired, memorials may be made to Wounded Warriors Project, 301 Grant Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15219.
