ANNE ELIZABETH CHURLEY KAMBIC(1918 - 2014)

KAMBIC
ANNE ELIZABETH CHURLEY
On Saturday, May 17, 2014. Anne Kambic was born May 7, 1918, in Braddock Hills, Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Matthew E. Kambic, of Rankin, Pennsylvania; and is survived by seven children, Robert (Mary Quinn), George (Helen Jablonski), Anthony (Carol Appel), Rita (Bruce Haldeman), Matthew (Louetta Heindel [d. 2004], Alison Annals), Victoria (Bernard Kulifay), and Daniel (Diane Charles); along with 17 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. Anne's life revolved around family, her husband, children, and church. She made great meals, managed schooling, sent kids off to Junior Tamburitzans, worked with the Christian Mothers at St. Anselm Church, brewed root beer, hosted many cats and birds, organized bus trips for community groups, dabbled in drawing, enjoyed sewing, baked apple pies, devoured many types of literature, and was a dedicated late-night listener to vintage talk radio. She smiled, sang, and laughed in copious portions. In later years, Anne had more time for her garden, favorite TV shows, choir music, flea markets, chats on the wooden swing out in the yard, and long drives with Matt in the Suburban. We, her children, have been graced through her engaging, spirited ways, sentiments on world affairs, staunch Catholic fortitude, and support of our own journeys. And we always have had the constant assurance of a mother's love for us, her children. We pray that her lifelong dedication of prayer, faith, and hope in the Great Mysteries is rewarded in the quiet peace of God's care. We love you, Mom. Say hello to Dad. We would like to sincerely thank the staff of Harbour Senior Living of Monroeville. Friends received 2-8 p.m. Thursday only at the THOMAS L. NIED FUNERAL HOME, INC., 7441 Washington St., Swissvale, PA 15218. Mass of Christian Burial will be held in the St. Anselm Roman Catholic Church on Friday morning, at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Word of God Parish, 2021 S. Braddock Ave., Swissvale, PA 15218.
