89, of Moon Township, went to be with his Lord, January 14, 2014, with his family at his side. He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Dorothea; and children, Karl Cook (Susan), Kathleen Cook-Wilson (Daniel), and Gerard Cook. Surviving sisters are Adeline Butterini, Dorothy Presutti, Grace Kocjan, and Margaret Hanna. He was a well-loved grandfather to his little angels, Dante, Gianna, and Alexandra Mamone. Highly decorated WWII veteran and past commander of VFW Post 402. Member of Anzio Beachhead Veterans of WWII, Battle of the Bulge Assn., 45th Infantry Division Assn., 179th Infantry Reg. Assn., American Legion Post 0924, Masonic Lodge 674. He was a lifelong supporter of the University of Pittsburgh Athletics and member of the Beaver-Moon Panther Club. He was an avid sports fanatic, took pride in his garden and had a passion for bowling, dancing and traveling. He is a member of St. Stephen's Church.
