83, of Scottdale, passed away at 6:25 p.m., Monday, May 2, 2011 at her residence. Catherine was born November 20, 1927 in Sewickley Township, a daughter of the late Vincent and Katherine Beyrand DiSalvatore. Catherine was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a former executive secretary for Mulach Steel in Pittsburgh for over 25 years. Years ago, she grew-up in the town of Herminie in Sewickley Township. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, bingo, and crossword puzzles. Catherine will be sadly missed by her loving family; her four children, Leona Sanders of California, Susan Zehnder and her husband Charles of North Hills, Joseph DeLisio and his wife Deborah of McMurray, and Valerie Brown of Scottdale; her ten grandchildren, Misty and Paul Sanders, David Contestabile, Gloria DeLisio, Bethany and Tamara Nappi, Heather Zehnder, James Brown, and Brian and Greg Howcroft; and her four great-grandchildren, Valerie, Joseph, Alexander, and Ethan Contestabile. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Alexandra Contestabile and an infant sister.
