Age 68, of Penn Hills, was called by his Higher Power on Monday, February 24, 2014. As he left his home, he was surrounded by his loving wife and family. Devoted husband of Claudia (Fiorina) Beyer; father of Charles J. (Gina) Beyer, Sr. and Chad E. Beyer; proud Pop-Pop of Charles, Jr., Emily, Amanda, Ethan, and Domenic; brother of Regis, Harry and the late Lance Beyer; brother-in-law of Ursula (the late Simon) Feldman and Frank (Carly) Fiorina; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Harry and Charlotte Beyer. Chuck (aka, 24-hour Beyer) worked tirelessly for 38 years with the Peoples Natural Gas Company where he retired in 2006. He had many incredible friends. We will miss him tremendously, especially his sense of humor, caring heart and lively blue eyes. While he lived on earth, Chuck had the serenity to accept the things he could not change, the courage to change the things he could and the wisdom to know the difference. Amen. Friends received, Thursday and Friday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at SOXMAN FUNERAL HOMES, LTD./ROTH CHAPEL, 7450 Saltsburg Road (at Universal Road), Penn Hills. Mass of Christian Burial, Saturday, 10 a.m. in St. Gerard Majella Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Family Hospice, 50 Moffett St., Pgh., PA 15243.
