On Wed., Sept. 11, 2002, Charles R. Amrhein, 65, beloved husband of Geraldine M. (Hartlep) Amrhein of Bellevue, also survived by loving children Chuck Amrhein & his wife Lois of Bellevue; Donna Turcsanyi of Bellevue, Michael Amrhein of Mt. Washington, Thomas Amrhein & his wife Anne of Shaler, Eileen Krummert & her husband Ray of Ellwood City and Gerri Lynn Amrhein of Moon Twp., sisters Celine Kuntz of Ross Twp. and Peggy Kobus of West View and grandchildren Daniel, Ross, Brett, Jacob, Benjamin, Adam, Michelle, Elizabeth and Lauren. Preceded in death by a brother William Amrhein and a sister Terese Amrhein. A mechanic by trade, Chuck had worked for the County of Allegheny for 25 years retiring in 1998. He was a 39 year member of the Bellevue Volunteer Fire Dept. serving as Chief for 28 of those years. He also served as the Fire Marshall for the Borough of Bellevue, a Deputy Fire Marshall for the County of Allegheny, a state certified fire instructor at the North Park Training Academy and had worked part time for Suburban General Hospital as a Security Guard for 27 years. He was a naval veteran serving on the USS Mitchner as a destroyer leader. Friends invited on Thurs. & Fri. 2-4 & 7-9pm in THE ORION C. PINKERTON FUNERAL HOME, INC. A GOLDEN RULE MEMBER FIRM. 1014 California Avenue Avalon, (North Boros). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Sat. at 9:00am in the Church of the Assumption, Bellevue where he had been a life member. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bellevue Volunteer Fire Dept., 537 Bayne Ave., Bellevue PA 15202.
