64, of Somerset, PA, died February 9, 2013, at the Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown, PA. Born March 16, 1948 in Pittsburgh, PA. Preceded in death by his parents, Eli and Helen M. (Slifko) Tamburino. Survived by wife the former, Joan Diane Mayak to whom he was married 18 years; stepchildren, Jodi Layton and husband, Tim, Lance Kandel and wife, Stephanie; stepgrandchildren, Zoe, Finnegan and Kate; sister, Linda Nahay and husband, Ronald of Lyndhurst, VA; nieces and nephew, Valerie Nahay, Lynne Kershner and husband Doug, Ron Nahay, Jr., and wife, Jaclyn; great-nieces and nephews, Taylor, Samantha, Kari, Jacob, Archimedes and Abigal. David is a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School and Penn State University. He worked at various places as an Electrical Engineer until his retirement. He was involved In the local Nature Conservency, he also volunteer at the Somerset Senior Center and Cardio Rehab. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the HAUGER-ZEIGLER FUNERAL HOME, SOMERSET. Where Services will he conducted 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 13, 2013, with the Reverend Roger Forry Officiating. INTERMENT Jefferson Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Somerset Area Senior Center, 1338 Edgewood Ave., Somerset, PA 15501.
