Age 75, a Moon Township resident for the past 40 years, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, April 4, 2014. He was born in Pittsburgh on September 18, 1938, to the late Edward and Kathryn (Lach) Yarnot. Beloved father of Amy M. Saar (Karl) of Baltimore, MD and Brian Yarnot of Seneca Falls, NY; loving brother of Raymond Yarnot (Suzanne) of Glenshaw, Frank Yarnot and Paul Yarnot, both of Moon Township, Phillip Yarnot (Barbara) of South Park, David Yarnot (Debbie) of Etters, Patricia Fedele (Michael) of Rock Hill, SC, Carol Powers of Moon Township, and the late Richard Yarnot (Jan Yarnot of Sacramento, CA); several cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins. Edmund worked as a draftsman for 30 years for both Erdner Engineering and Marchionda Drafting, served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and enjoyed fishing and construction of model planes. Visitation Monday 2-4, 7-9 p.m. at COPELAND'S MOON TOWNSHIP, 981 Brodhead Rd., where a Blessing Service will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Burial with military honors will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations in his name to Catholic Charities. The family would like to thank Forbes Hospice South Team for their kindness and loving care toward Edmund.
