EDWARD ERASMUS, Jr.
68, fondly known as "Fred" to close friends and family, of Moon Twp., passed away surrounded by his loving family on August 1, 2013. He was born in Queens, NY on May 8, 1945, the son of the late Erasmus and Georgia (Likely) Franzese. Ed earned his Bachelor's Degree in Geology from Colgate University in 1969. Served his country as a Lieutenant in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War
. Ed lived life to the fullest during his 68 years, he went on countless vacations with his family and loved following Pittsburgh sporting events, especially the Pittsburgh Pirates. Ed also loved to spend time relaxing at the family's swimming pool and enjoyed bowling. In addition to his parents, Edward was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Christina Marie Franzese. He is survived by his devoted wife of 34 years, Peggy "Margaret" Franzese; three children, Kristy-Marie Otto (Christopher), Hopewell Twp., Sandy-Anne Franzese, Moon Twp., Thomas Henry Franzese, Maine; two adoring grandchildren, Lillian Marie Otto and Brooke Taylor Otto; siblings, Robert Franzese and Nikki Chamberlain. There will be no public viewing. THE HUNTSMAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES OF MOON TWP. is in charge of arrangements. Friends are invited to a memorial gathering on Tuesday, August 6, from 2 p.m. until time of church service at 4 p.m. in The Ohio United Presbyterian Church, 1236 Longvue Avenue in Hopewell Twp.
