A life-long resident of East Pittsburgh, age 84, on Sunday, April 7, 2013. Beloved husband of Helen (Knight) Chuhran for 60 years; loving father of Jack "Chooch" (Betsy) Chuhran of Penn Hills, Thomas G. (Karen) Chuhran of Hopewell, Julianne Marchitello of East Pittsburgh, and the late Jimmy Chuhran; dear grandfather of Alexandria, Michael and Katherine Chuhran and Alaina Marchitello; brother-in-law of Emma (Knight) Shane. Preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Michael and William Chuhran, Margaret Delaney and Anne Palumbo. Chook was a U.S. Army veteran and a retired proud Boilermaker from US Steel, Edgar Thomson Plant. He was the president and steward of the former East Pittsburgh Slovak Social Club for many years. Chook was a thunderous-voiced umpire and past president of the former East Pittsburgh Little League. He Was instrumental in the success of the Westinghouse Valley Little League All-Star Tournament. Friends welcome Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. at PATRICK T.
