EDWARD RODNEY CARY Sr.(1929 - 2013)

Age 84, of Cranberry Township, formerly of Avalon, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2013 at Good Samaritan Hospice. Edward was born May 9, 1929 in Shenandoah, Virginia. He is survived by his wife, Edith (Hood) Cary; children, Darlene (Mark ) Sansone, Edward R. Cary, Jr., Doreen Cary, Tami (Robert) Kuny; grandchildren, Bill (Cary) Davis, Matthew (Lindsay) Cary, Mark (Kristen) Sansone, Jr., Brandon Cary, Gregory Sansone, Chelsea and Alysia Kuny; great-grandchildren, Miles Cary, Addison Sansone, Owen Cary; sisters, Alice Bevington, Sandra (John) Hart; stepbrother, Melvin Messmer. He was preceded in death by sisters Dorothy Farren and Donna Towers. Edward was a past Commander of the American Legion Post 116 Avalon and served in the U.S. Marine Corp. He retired from Billco Mfg. in Zelienople. Visitation will be Wednesday 2-8 p.m. at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME of Cranberry 2678 Rochester Rd. 724-772-8800. Where services will be held Thursday 10:00 a.m. Interment in Mount RoyalCemetery in Glenshaw .
