BAILEY EDWIN C.
Age 80, of Ocala, entered into heaven on March 16, 2013. Born August 4, 1932 in Carrick, Pennsylvania, residing in Moon Township before moving to Ocala, Florida. At a young age, he joined the Marines where he served in the Korean Conflict
. After coming back home, he was given the opportunity to work as an electrician with the local IBEW #5 Union. He always spoke highly of that union and was a proud member for 50 years. While in the Pittsburgh area, he became a member of the Masons and was master of Germania Lodge No. 509. He was, at one time, a member of the Shriners and a deacon at his local Presbyterian Church. He was most proud of his children, his grandchildren and recently the great-grandchildren who kept him young and to this day they still speak of how he loved being involved with their lives. He had many hobbies, including golf, bowling, going to the parks, traveling and listening to John Phillips Sousa and the Military marching music. He leaves behind his loving wife, Shirley Dicello of 58 years; daughter, Anita Bailey Smith; son, Douglas Edwin Bailey; and brother, Martin Bailey; granddaughter, Jennifer Smith; grandson, William Smith; and two great-grandchildren, Izabella Smith and Eden Smith. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at HIERS-BAXLEY FUNERAL HOME, 9695 SW 110th St. Ocala, Florida. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the wonderful organization of Paralyzed Veterans.
