Age 85, formerly of Pittsburgh, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Susque-View Home. She was born in Ginter, PA on November 24, 1927, the daughter of the late John and Sue Kost Kokosko. She was a graduate of Madera High School, Madera, PA and obtained a Bachelor's degree from Philipsburg Nursing School. She was a member of St. John Fisher Catholic Church in Pittsburgh. Eleanor was employed as a registered nurse at the Pittsburgh Veterans Hospital until her retirement. She worked as a camera operator for the Daily Mass television broadcasting at St. Paul's Cathedral in Pittsburgh. She loved traveling and did so abroad visiting Rome, London and Germany. She looked forward to her beach trips with her sister, Rosalie, her cousin, Marge and many of her other friends. Eleanor is survived by cousins, Joe (Pauline) Hensel of Lock Haven, Marie Hensel of Mill Hall and Catherine Labant of St. Mary's; and numerous other relatives. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Rosalie Kokosko and her cousin, Marge Hanzel. A Mass in Eleanor's name will be held on Sunday, April 14, 2013 at 9 a.m. at St. John Fisher Catholic Church, Pittsburgh. Interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Ramey, PA. Memorial contributions may be made to the PA Breast Cancer Coalition, 344 North Reading Road, Ephrata, PA 17522. Arrangements are under the direction of the DONALD G.
