Of Murrysville, died the day after her 97th birthday on Friday, August 22, 2014. Beloved wife of the late H. Edwin "Iggy" DeHass for 25 years; loving mother of H. Edwin DeHass, Jr. of Monroeville, Karen L. (Al) Renchko of Monroeville and Sharen M. (Don) Loreski of Murrysville; proud grandmother of H. Edwin DeHass III, Brian (Stacy) DeHass, Tina Kelly, Monica (Joel) Carolla and Al Renchko, Jr., Joseph (Keeley) Loreski and Jeffrey Loreski; precious great-grandmother of Jake, Ava, Leah, A.J., Alex, Julianna, Alyssa, Casey, Ryan, Sophia and Tina Irene; great-great-grandmother of Brandon Phoenix; dear sister of Bud (late Marie) Ambrose of North Braddock, the late Mary (late Tom) McGivern and the late Robert (surviving spouse, Donna) Ambrose. Betty was a staunch Pittsburgh Penguins and Pittsburgh Pirates fan, even staying up late to watch west coast games. She also enjoyed working the daily crossword puzzles. Above all else, she was a dedicated homemaker who was devoted to her children and their families. No visitation, as per Betty's request. Friends and family members are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Colman Church, Turtle Creek, on Monday at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow in William Penn Cemetery.
