Emilie B. (Bahnsen) Alexander

Age 82, lifelong resident of Ross Twp. died August 9, 2005; she was the loving wife of the late James W. Alexander; beloved mother of Lois (Phil) Dotson of Thornton, CO, and Ruth A. Curry of Grove City; dear grandmother of Richard and William Krahl of CO, Janette Salyer of Jacksonville, FL, James Curry and Suzanne Curry Winder both of Virginia Beach, VA; also survived by 11 great-grandchildren. She was the Past Chairman of the Board of the W. PA Eastern Star Home, Past Queen of the Daughters of the Nile Airys Chapter, Past Matron and Secretary Emeritus of Norwood-Herrington Order of Eastern Star, Past President of the Melwood AARP. She was active in St. John's Lutheran Church. She enjoyed bowling, golf and traveling. Prior to her retirement she was employed for 35 years with the Federal Government having retired as Office Manager of the National Labor Relations Board. Friends will be received Thursday and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9pm H.P. BRANDT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1032 Perry Highway, Ross Township. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 2pm in St. John's Lutheran Church, Perry Hwy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Parkinson's Foundation, attn: Director of Development, 1501 N.W. 9th Ave., Bob Hope Road, Miami, FL 33136.
