76, of Pleasant Hills, passed peacefully on February 12, 2014, with her family by her side, at the Center for Compassionate Care, in Mt. Lebanon. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, George "Buster;" and their daughter, Susan McDonough. Emma is survived by her three loving daughters, Nancy Friend, Karen (Lee) Underwood, Linda Sherry; and her son-in-law, Ken McDonough; as well as her grandchildren, Nicole and Steven McDonough, Brittany and Rebecca Underwood; and a great- grand-daughter, Adelynn McDonough; loving aunt to Dale and David Smith; sister to Melanie Wheeler and the late "Jackie" Carr. She was a graduate of McKeesport High School, and was employed by G.C. Murphy Co. and the West Jefferson Hills School District as a cafeteria worker. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge #414 and #563, enjoyed camping, baking and spending time with her dog, Harley. Visitation will be held Saturday 6-8 p.m. and Sunday 2-8 p.m. at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 301 Curry Hollow Road, in Pleasant Hills, where a Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, February 17, 2014, at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in her honor to Family Hospice & Palliative Care, 50 Moffett Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15243. www.FamilyHospice.com.
