Age 90, of Penn Hills, formerly of Beltzhoover, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012. He was born Nov. 7, 1922 in West Virginia, son of the late Charles Z. Cotton, Sr. and Ella Jenkins Cotton Hamilton. A long-time resident of the Pittsburgh area, he was retired from the U. S. Postal Service. After retirement, he owned operated a Jitney Station in Beltzhoover for several decades. He was a member of Community of Grace AME Zion Church. He leaves to cherish his memory three sons, Marshall Cotton (Donna) and Ernest M. Cotton, Jr. (Zelma Moran) and Arron Gross; two daughters, Sharon Cotton Burton (Wilbur) and Jammi Cotton; stepchildren, Rance Humphrey and Rhonda Russell (Andrew); and many grandchildren, great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews, in-laws, relatives and friends. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, 2 to 8 p.m. at HOUSE OF LAW, INC., 9406 Frankstown Rd., Penn Hills, PA. A service will be held on Wednesday, 11 a.m. at St. Paul AME Church, 400 Orchard St., (Knoxville), conducted by Rev. Gerald Akrie, Pastor of Community of Grace AME Zion Church. Interment, the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville, PA.
