On Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013. Beloved daughter of the late Francis and Mary Bittner; sister of the late Steven Bittner, Helen Bittner Atkins, Betty Kopsth, Ann Proksch, Mary Yogun, Elise Petrach and John Bittner. Sister Floretita ministered in food service in the Dioceses of Pgh., PA, Milwaukee, WI, and San Antonio PR for 67 years. She was one of the original group of Sisters to serve Puerto Rico. She ministered to people with Hansen's Disease (leprosy) and provided religious education. In 1996 Sister began her prayer ministry and remained faithful to this until her death. Sister. will always be remembered by her gentle domeenor and delicious meals she provided for her sisters and many others. She thoroughly enjoyed this ministry and graced many with her hospitality. Visitation at the Mt. Alvernia Motherhouse Chapel 146 Hawthorne Rd., Millvale Monday 2-7 p.m., Tuesday Noon until time of Funeral Mass at 5 p.m. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Sisters of St. Francis Ministry, Formation or Retirement Fund 146 Hawthorne Rd., Pgh., PA 15209.
