85, of Ambridge, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 28, 2013 in St. Petersburg, FL. Born June 26, 1927, in Tyler, PA, son of the late Salvatore and Giovanna Pane, he was a member of Good Samaritan Parish, a WW II Army veteran stationed in Germany, and a lifetime member of the American Legion. Surviving are three sisters-in-law, Bernadine Pane, Dorothy Pane, and Helen Pane; ten nieces and nephews; and numerous great-nieces, nephews, and godchildren. Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, are six brothers. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 1 to 8 p.m. at JOHN SYKA FUNERAL HOME INC., 835 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge, where prayers will be offered Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at Good Samaritan Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the St. Vincent DePaul Society, c/o Good Samaritan Catholic Church, 725 Glenwood Avenue, Ambridge, PA 15003 or Villa St Joseph, 1030 State Street, Baden, PA 15005.
