87, of West Mifflin, died Sunday, September 22, 2013, at Paramount Senior Living. He was born on June 27, 1926, in Wilmerding. He was a WWII veteran of the United States Air Force and a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University School of Engineering. He spent his career as a professional civil engineer and retired from Dravo Corporation in 1991. Son of the late Anthony and Mary (Duffalo) Pelecovich; beloved husband of 59 years to Adelaide (Kiester); proud father of Lee (Susan) Pelco, of Elizabeth, PA, Laura Pelco, of Weston, CT, and Lynn (Christopher Ball) of Williamsburg, VA; loving grandfather of Amanda, Sarah, and Nate Pelco, Macon, and Casey Heikes, and Julia Ball. He is survived by his brother, Daniel (Swanhild) Pelecovich; and sisters, Martha (late Edmond) Polyfka and Janet (Melvin) Crotzer; along with various nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Havrilla. Family and friends will be received on Friday from 11-12 p.m. with a service at 12 noon at JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pleasant Hills.
