Suddenly, at his home, on Friday, August 16, 2013, James D., age 79, a life long resident of Thornburg. Beloved husband of Elaine F. Crist, his only love and life companion for over 56 years; loving father of David (Carol) Crist, Richard (Nancy) Crist, Susan (Robert) Currin and James (Leslie) Crist; proud grandfather of Sarah, Samantha, Colin, Corey, Aaron, Bailey and Aubrey Crist and Allyson and Lindsay Bodine; brother of the late Francis E. Crist Jr., Nancy Crist Casper and Katherine Crist Mahon. Jim was a former Director of the Sheraden Bank, a partner of Kay, Richards & Co., and a Vice-President of Parker/Hunter Inc. (now Janney Montgomery Scott LLC). Jim was a proud United States Marine with service in Korea during the Korean War. Per Jim's insistence, there will be no viewing. Friends invited to a memorial service in the Crafton United Presbyterian Church, 80 Bradford Ave., Crafton (Pgh. 15205) on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Crafton U.P. Church. Inurnment, with military honors, will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. Arrangements entrusted to HERSHBERGER - STOVER, INC., FUNERAL HOME, Crafton.
