Age 84, of Ingram, on Tuesday, April 30, 2013. Beloved husband of 49 years to Mary Ann (Kirsch) Gibbons. Born in Altoona January 5, 1929. Son of the late James P. and Mary Ellen Gibbons; loving brother-in-law of John (Marlene) and David (Agnes) Kirsch; also survived by 11 nieces and nephews, 28 great-nieces and nephews; and special cousins, Loretta and Patricia Batkiewicz. Jim was a Veteran of the Korean War with the U S Air Force with over 34 years of service. He also was the former purchasing agent at the 911th Air Force Base for over 29 years. Visitation 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the SCHEPNER- McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 165 Noble Ave., Crafton. Mass of Christian Burial 9 a.m. Friday in the Ascension Roman Catholic Church where Jim was an active and charter member. Bishop Winters will be officiating. Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Altoona, PA.
