Age 89, of Naples, FL and Ligonier, PA, on November 12, 2012 in Naples, FL. Born on July 27, 1923 in Syracuse, NY. Daughter of Gladys M. Piron and Floyd E. Piron. Relocated to Naples, FL from Pittsburgh, PA. Prior to that, she lived in Mexico City, Mexico. She served on the School Board in Mexico City and in the Junior League in Mexico and Pittsburgh. At the Junior League, her primary focus was working on behalf of the blind. She was predeceased by daughter, Susan J. Sutcliffe of Pittsburgh, PA. Janet is survived by Douglas D. Danforth, to whom she was married for 69 years; daughters, Barbara D. Osburn (Charles D. Osburn) of La Cañada, CA and Debra D. Sullivan (J. Larry Sullivan) of Frisco, CO; son, Douglas D. Danforth, Jr. (Jane M. Danforth) of Prairie Village, KS; son-in-law, Paul A. Sutcliffe; ten grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Memorial Service will be held in private at the Naples United Church of Christ, where she was an active member.
