On Wed., Jan. 30, 2013, Jean R. Aiken. Beloved wife of W. James Aiken, Jr., Esq; daughter of the late Ruth and Walter Risser; aunt of Richard D. Aiken (Hollywood, FL), Bruce A. Aiken (Flagstaff, AZ), William J. Aiken, III, (Atlanta, GA), Robert S. Aiken (Alexandria, VA), Gregory Risser Slonaker (Princeton Junction, NJ), David Charles Slonaker (Woodland Hills, CA) and Susan Slonaker Buenger (Cincinnati, OH). Mrs. Aiken attended Allegheny College where she earned Phi Beta Kappa and earned her Master's Degrees at both the State College of Iowa and the Univ. of Pittsburgh, where she was the Associate Dean and Librarian for many years. She was a distinguished alumni member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority where she served as chairman of the undergraduate scholarship committee and a member of the P.E.O. (Philanthropic Educational Organization). Mr. and Mrs. Aiken traveled the world extensively visiting every country but five. There will be a graveside service on Saturday, in Homewood Cemetery at 10 a.m. Arrangements by JOHN A. FREYVOGEL SONS, INC.
