Of Mt. Washington. He was preceded in death by his precious son, Brian; parents, James G. and Gloria Butler; and brother, James P. of California. John attended California State College and also Duquesne University. He was a long time employee of Allegheny County and worked in the Arbitration Dept. and also the Division of Human Services. He enjoyed golfing, reading, and socializing with friends. He was a Vietnam veteran and honorably served during the Tet Offensive Era with the Army 199th Light Infantry. He was also a member of Brentwood V.F.W. Post 1810. John is survived by a sister, Judith Book (Vern); and brother, David Butler; and former wife and friend, Kathy. At his request, there will be no viewing or visitation.
