Of Brookline, spent 13 1/2 months, with his family by his side, struggling after a double lung transplant. On February 12, 2013, he lost the battle but won the war when the Lord took him home at the age of 69. John was born on August 26, 1943 to the late Nicholas and Josephine (Natali) Terlecki in the Uptown/Oakland area of Pittsburgh. A lifelong resident, he was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan. On July 9, 1966, John married the former Roberta "Bobbie Ann" Murdock who survives him at home. In addition to his loving wife, he leaves behind their six children, Sherri (Dr. Ronnie) Mignella of Hermitage, PA, and Shelley (Scott), Johnny (Sallie), Timothy, Nicole and Tammy Terlecki, all of the Pittsburgh area. He is survived by his three grandchildren, Saverio and Santino Mignella, Olivia Terlecki; and one granddog, Oreo; also surviving are his siblings, Michael, Joseph "Little Joe" (Danette) Terlecki of Pittsburgh, Nicholas (Michele) Terlecki of Poplar Grove, IL, Ann Marie (William Hoole) Graham of Florida City, FL, and Maryrose Malzacher of Key Largo, FL. John also leaves his mother-in-law, Dolores Murdock, a dear family friend, Eric (Chopper) Kramer, both of Pittsburgh and numerous nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his sister, Dolores "Cheech" Terlecki of Key Largo, FL. Friends may be received at FRANK F. Interment to follow in Jefferson Memorial Park. The family would like to thank the staff of UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, who showed both compassion and patience for John.
