Went home to be with God, on Wednesday, December 12, 2012. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Ralph enlisted in the U.S. Navy and was a radioman aboard the USS Stokes during WW II. Upon returning from his tour of duty, he married Doris Marusko in May of 1947. He graduated from Duquesne University with a B.S. in Business/Accounting and held positions with Fisher Body, U.S. Steel Tubular Works, Babcock & Wilcox, and Arco Chemical. While at Babcock & Wilcox, he was very involved in Junior Achievement. He was also a soldier for Christ, who loved God and devoted much time to his churches through the years, St. Colman's, St. Maurice's, and St. Roses, where he was President of the 70 plus club, and loved making perogies on Fridays through the years. Ralph was a quiet, kind gentleman who loved the Lord and was eager to lend a hand to whomever and wherever help was needed. His lifelong philosophy was "one day at a time". He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Doris; his brother, Don and wife Lois of Virginia; his four children, Dave Blotzer, Debra and Robert Marks, Tom Blotzer, Chris and Rhonda Blotzer; his eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Friends received at the GENE H. CORL INC. FUNERAL CHAPEL & CREMATION CENTER OF MONROEVILLE, 4335 Northern Pike (1 block East of Mosside Blvd. -Rte. 48). Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Thursday.
