Age 81, of Level Green, PA, formerly of Verona, died April 19, 2014. He was a retired worker at Westinghouse. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his parents, Josephine (Pasqualina Manganaro) and Joseph Garia; his sister, Josephine Zanella; his brothers, Anthony "Cherry" Garia, Rocco Garia, and Michael Garia; and his granddaughter, Amanda Garia. He is the wonderful father of Laura Martin (Ron) of Pitcairn, Ellen Garia (Marty) of Verona, and Susan Garia of Level Green; and grandfather of Maria Urick, Joseph Garia (Vanessa), Michael Urick, Sean Martin, and Alexis Garia. He loved playing poker, watching the Pirates, and cooking his family favorite spaghetti dinners. He loved his children and grandchildren and will be sadly missed. Friends will be received on Thursday, April 24, 2014, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the HART FUNERAL HOME, INC., Murrysville. A Blessing Service will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Twin Valley Cemetery, Delmont. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the The Lewy Body Dementia Association, Inc. or the Wounded Warriors Foundation in his memory.
