69, of Estero, FL, died Saturday, October 6, 2012 at Joanne's House at Hope Hospice. Formerly of Moon Township, PA, he had been a resident of Estero for the past 12 years. He was born August 10, 1943 in Flushing, NY, a son of the late Homer and Maxine (nee Frazer) Akers. Keith worked for 35 years as a pilot for US Airways, retiring as an A-330 International Captain. He had a true passion for flying. Keith is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Angela J. (Monderine) Akers; children, Daniel Akers of Sterling, VA, Jeff Williams of Charlotte, NC, and Jennifer (Martin) Baker of Beaver, PA; sister, Teyre Akers of Jacksonville, FL; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made in Keith's name to Hope Hospice, 27200 Imperial Parkway, Bonita Springs, FL 34135. Arrangements are being handled by SHIKANY'S BONITA FUNERAL HOME.
