LEE ROGER CUNNINGHAM

CUNNINGHAM LEE ROGER
Age 82, of Fox Chapel, passed away Thursday, January 3, 2013. Roger was born on April 24, 1930, in Pittsburgh. He graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a B.S. in Industrial Management and became a Registered Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania and California. After college, Roger served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He participated in the construction and fuel loading at the first full-scale non-military nuclear power plant built in 1957 in Shippingport, PA. His later assignments during his career with Westinghouse included Lead Engineer at Indian Point 2 in New York and field management assignments in the United States and Asia. Roger was an active member of the Fox Chapel Presbyterian Church, serving as an Elder, and the Fox Chapel Racquet Club, where he enjoyed playing paddle tennis. Rogers's life was blessed with 49 years of marriage to his wife, Nancy (Wenner) Cunningham; and with two sons, Lee (Teresa) and Scott (Amy); and six grandchildren, Ian, Sarah, Elspeth, Gavin, Lily, and Molly. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, January 9 at 11 a.m. at the Fox Chapel Presbyterian Church, 384 Fox Chapel Road. Arrangements by WEDDELL-AJAK FUNERAL HOME, Aspinwall.
