Age 89, died on November 23, 2012 at Washington Hospital Center in Washington D.C. from complications after open heart surgery. Mary was born in 1922 and lived in Pittsburgh until she moved to Sun City Hilton Head in Bluffton, SC in 1996. She was married for 65 years to her beloved husband, Anthony D'Alessandro until his death in 2006. She is survived by her daughter, Pat Crusenberry, of Alexandria, VA; her son, Anthony D'Alessandro of Gulfport, FL; and her son-in-law, Clyde Crusenberry. Mary also leaves behind her two grandchildren, Lynne and Greg D'Alessandro; plus nieces, nephews, and many friends. Viewing will be held at EVERLY-WHEATLEY FUNERAL HOME at 1500 W. Braddock Road in Alexandria, VA on her 90th birthday, December 6, followed by cremation and then burial at 11 a.m. at Ivy Hill Cemetery on December 8.
