Of East Pittsburgh, formerly of North Braddock, age 90, on Monday, March 10, 2014. Beloved wife of the late Michael S. Chismar for 40 years; dear and loving mother of Kathleen (Thomas) Bell, Michael "Buzz" Chismar, Dianne (Peter) Spivak, Janet (Thomas) Fairfull, Barbara (David) Mizla, Donald, Walter (Abe Presley), Timothy (Josefa), Richard (Karla), Robert "Jake" (Barbara), and Gerard "Jerry" (Dana) Chismar; also survived by 21 grandchildren and 11 great- grandchildren; sister of Charlene "Petey" Houston, Eileen Pierce, Jean Hayes, and Nick Johnson. Preceded in death by her brothers, Walter, Edward, Charles, and Paul Johnson; and her sisters, Alice "Sis" Kwiecinski and Margaret Lopez. During WWII, Millie worked as a laborer for US Steel at the Edgar Thomson Plant. She proudly shook the hand of President Harry Truman as his train stopped at the plant, even though she was covered by the dirt and grime of the steel mill.
