Age 92, of Monroeville, formerly of Shakers Heights, OH, passed from this life on Saturday, April 6, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, Estelle and Alphonso Carlton; three siblings; and her husband, Terry O. Collier, Sr. She was survived by her beloved son, Terry, Jr. (Barbara); proud grandmother of Terry III (Tiowa) and John Baxter Collier; and great-grandmother, lovingly known as "GiGi" to her precious Sarah, Adiah and Terry IV of St. Paul, MN. Mildred received a Bachelor of Science Degree from West Virginia State University and a Master of Education from Ohio State University. She taught Home Economics at Lane College and Alabama A&M University. The last 30 years of her career were spent as Chair of the Home Economics Department in the Cleveland School District, retiring in 1988. She was a long-time member of St. Mark's Presbyterian Church in Cleveland, OH, until relocating to Monroeville two years ago. Special thanks to the staff of Family Hospice and LGAR Health and Rehabilitation Center for their gentle care. Friends will be received Wednesday, April 10, 4-8 p.m. at HOUSE OF LAW, INC., in Penn Hills. Homegoing Service Thursday, April 11, at 11 a.m. at Bethany Baptist Church in Homewood.
