Age 91, of Ross Twp., formerly of Mt. Washington, on Saturday, February 15, 2014. Husband of the late Mercedes (Headley); loving father of Kimberly Heiser (James) of California, and Lance Haas of Pittsburgh. Norman was a World War II veteran, a bombardier for the 13th Army Air Corps 31st Squadron, flying in a B-24. Lt. Haas flew 44 missions and served in six campaigns, receiving six Battlestars. The campaigns were New Guinea, Rabaul (Bismark, Archepelago), Borneo, Southern Philippines, Luzon, P.I., and the Western Pacific which included parts of the South China Sea and Formosa. He was also a retired employee of Allis-Chalmers. A Committal Service will be held on Tuesday at 1 p.m. in Allegheny County Memorial Park.
