Age 89, of Ross Twp., fell asleep in the Lord, on Sunday, February 16, 2014. Beloved husband for 65 years of the late Florence M. (Karavlan) Sismour; loving father of Donna (Thomas) Murphy of Bethel Park and Richard P. (Mary) Sismour of Cranberry Twp.; proud grandfather of Mark (Donna) Murphy, Tracey (Dave) Muench, Kelly (Bill) Sipe, Richard P. (Amanda) Sismour, Jr., Adam P. Sismour, and Todd (Holly) Murphy; also survived by nine great-grandchildren; and a brother, Edward Sismour. Prior to his retirement, Richard worked for PAT as a street car and bus driver. He was a veteran of WWII having proudly served in the United States Navy in the South Pacific. He was also a member of the West View VFW, Post 2754. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the H.P. BRANDT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1032 Perry Hwy., Ross Twp., 412-364-4444, where a Parastas Service will be held on Tuesday at 7 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral on Wednesday at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Good Samaritan Hospice, 3500 Brooktree Rd., Ste. 320, Wexford, PA 15090.
