Of Peters Twp., 88, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 10, 2014, at home with his loving wife by his side. Beloved husband for 62 years to Beverly D. (Arthur) Storrick; loving father of Gary D. Storrick of Niles, MI, Diane J. (Jeff Graham) Storrick of Murrysville, PA, Janet S. (Craig J.) Bauer of Murrysville, PA and Wendy S. (James F.) Mermigos of Jeannette, PA; cherished grandfather of Robert, Audrey, and Steven Antolovich, Nathan, Kevin, Jason, and Carson Bauer, and Jessica, Stacey, and Mara Mermigos; preceded in death by his parents, Robert William and Maria Jane (Fenton) Storrick and his sister, Helen Minor Solomon; uncle of Janice (Ron Steinberg) Anderson, Dennis Minor, David (Celene) Minor and Elaine (Ron) Knotts. At age 17 he enlisted in the US Navy and served during World War II as a signalman aboard the USS FROST (DE-144). Bob graduated from W & J College in 1949 and the Univ. of Pittsburgh, in 1951 with a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He worked as the Superintendent of Maintenance, Substations, and Shops for Duquesne Light Company in Pittsburgh, PA. He retired in 1988 after 37 and a half years of dedicated service. He was a member of Peters Creek Presbyterian Church, Washington Lodge No. 164 F&AM, Gourgas Lodge of Perfection (Consistory), Pittsburgh, PA, Syria Temple (Shrine), Pittsburgh, PA, the American Legion and was a former member of the Washington Flyers Club in Washington, PA. He served several years with the Boy Scouts of America. Bob was a private pilot and also enjoyed farming, gunsmithing, wood working, and gardening. Funeral arrangements by BEINHAUERS.
