Age 79, of Oakmont, formally of Penn Hills, passed away peacefully at Family Place Hospice-Canterbury Place with her family surrounding her on Saturday, September 21, 2013. Ro, as she was affectionately known, was born March 10, 1934 fought valiantly and with much grace after a long and hard battle with ovarian cancer. She was the daughter of the late Mauro and Agatha Traficanti. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Traficanti and her grandson, Louis D. DeFabio II. Beloved wife of Louis D. DeFabio for 57 years; loving mother of Louis A. (Maureen) DeFabio and Michele DeFabio Donatucci; grandmother of Nicole (Mark) Cherico and Anthony DeFabio; great- grandmother of Aubree Rose Cherico. Rose Marie was happiest when spending time with her family and friends cooking delicious Sunday dinners, hosting parties, running to her grandchildren's activities, having lunch with her girlfriends and even a day at her favorite casino. She is further survived by a brother, Joseph (MaryAnn) Traficanti and sisters, Rachael (Joseph) Frank and Agatha Zannit and numerous nieces and nephews. Deeply was devoted to her faith. She was also a member of Penn Hebron Garden Club. Friends received Monday 6-9 p.m. and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at SOXMAN FUNERAL HOMES, LTD., 7450 Saltsburg Road (at Universal Road) Penn Hills, PA 15235. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday 10 a.m. at St. Susanna Church, Penn Hills. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH.
