SAMUEL CHECKETTS

CHECKETTS
SAMUEL
After a long battle, the body of Sam Checketts was taken by sarcoma on November 1, 2012. His spirit and legacy, however, live on through his wife, Anne; his sons, Sam and Brandon; and his daughters-in-law, Bobbie Jo "BJ" (Berg) and Jennifer. Sam's hopes and aspirations will be fulfilled by his grandchild on the way, child of Sam and BJ, and his grandson, Brandon, son of Brandon and Jennifer. Sam's brothers and sisters, Gene, Duane, Dale, JoAnne Vith, Kevin, and Vinessa Binkert, will ensure that the light of his memory continues to burn bright for his nieces, nephews and extended family. Sam was known by many through his successful career in the nuclear industry, but his most important work was done as a husband and father. In addition to these vital roles, Sam served as co-chair of the Pittsburgh Cure Sarcoma Committee, and as a role model for all cancer patients in the Pittsburgh area. Sam will be missed, but never forgotten. Friends received at the MOODY FUNERAL HOME, Route 30, Clinton , on Saturday and Sunday 2-9 p.m., where service to be held Monday at 11 a.m. The family respectfully requests that donations be made "In Memory of Sam Checketts" to Pittsburgh Cure Sarcoma, PO Box 194, Gibsonia, PA 15044.
